The start of our journey, a feamle Velve-Purple Coronet is responsibile for choosing the site and building a camouflage nest in a protected location. Unlike her, my husband chose and built our amazing home in the middle of the woods on Eastern LI, anticipating my arrival from Brooklyn. A city woman, I left my concrete paradise with what I could carry. I came to the expansive woods with a pot to make his favorite meatballs and my paitning studio supplies. Both which are included in this work.
