Thresholds: Nothing is Fixed Here is a group exhibition presented by
curators Casey Dressell and Sarah Melloy and includes work by Alana
Fitzgerald, Lucas Keown, Kelly Zellers, Corey Allen Davis, Meagan
Smith, and Tanner Hammock.
This exhibition seeks to explore our relationship with the various spaces
we navigate- and our perceptions, understanding, and memory of
those spaces. We receive visual, haptic, and sensorial feedback from
our surrounding physical spaces while spending time in digital spaces,
straddling the threshold between these two worlds. Through the
various artistic modes of production and abstract visual fields versus
more representational, this exhibition aims to beckon viewers into the
present and reckon with consciously embodying the liminal.
The title of the exhibition refers to the idea that things around us are
always in motion and changing. This exhibition seeks to explore the
tension between holding an embodied and connected experience
and the ever-transitory, fragmented world around us.
